Advanced Tech!

I was given a day and night time scene and given the drawn outline to recreate it to look like the original using Photoshop. It was the first time learning how to properly create scenes like this. I loved learning this project so I can apply the new skills to future projects !

New Twitter !

I now have a work Twitter !

You know if you have the right one if this little guy is the display picture -

He is from a project that I will be returning to in just over a week where I have to redesign the animation Glammies Awards mascot. He isn't the final design only one of the initial ideas, but more will be posted after next week !

Found a canvas painting !

Found a photo of one of my canvas'. I have others done in the same dry brush technique which I will upload when I am able to take photos of them. Then maybe I can upload a better photo of this one as the angle of the camera is off distorting the face slightly but never mind.

Gesture Drawing

Gesture Drawing - very rusty, but something is better than nothing!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Storyboard Project

Back into second year of uni at the University of Glamorgan !
To kick off the year we had a storyboarding project. We were given a script for an episode of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and had to make a storyboard for our own selected part in the script. Seeing as I have never watched Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I struggled with the action sequences with only a help of a standard standing turn around found online, but apart from that I am happy with how the overall storyboard came out.
I decided to do use a fine liner for the outlining, then adding grey pen to give slight shading and to overall make the drawing easier to read. I then went back with coloured pencil to show the turtle characters. I wanted to keep the overall look very simple with only a colour spotting look to show character, and used a dark background only when the background was of importance within the scene so it was clear what the main subject of the shot was.
The script I was given was Rafael ripping off the military ribbons of a gangster  as he is impersonating an officer, followed by a cheesy joke involving a satellite falling on his back and impersonating a turtle. After this, the "Globfather" and Rafael battle as the turtles look on shocked and helpless.
If you see that's whats going on then I guess my job is done !

A recent piece I did from a random black and white photo using charcoal.

The first post .. Well I'll start with the last project of my first year of uni ! This is some concept design I had to create for a specific era beif, in which I chose the Georgian period. My first time proper doing a design project, fun and a huge learning curve.
